Summary
Genus:
Croton
Family:
Euphorbiaceae
Subfamily:
Crotonoideae
Tribe:
Crotoneae
Nomen number:
318021
Place of publication:
Fl. bor.-amer. 2:141. 1838 "
setigerum

Comment:
there is some question as to whether the spelling should be corrected to "
setiger
" to reflect the classical Latin termination (
Shenzhen ICN
32.2) for the masculine form of this adjectival epithet (see also W. T. Stearn, Botanical Latin ed. 4:91. 1992), but lacking explicit guidance in the Code for this case we retain the spelling adopted by Bentham upon transfer to the masculine genus
Eremocarpus
